Community Impact Partners presents

SwingShift and the Stars

OCT 19, 2018

SwingShift and the Stars is an inventive performance competition, but more than that, it is a platform for area nonprofits to gain awareness, foster new relationships and raise much-needed funds for their organizations. This season, 8 nonprofits with the support of their business champions and local celebrities will join in on the fun! 100% of your donation dollars (envelope received at the door) go directly to the organization of your choice.

Opportunities for online giving are also available and strongly encouraged throughout the season. Donate to your charity of choice.

October 2018 Charities

Zonta Club of Traverse City works to empower women through service and advocacy as part of an international organization.  Zonta Club members work as volunteers to raise money to distribute as grants and scholarships within our local community.  With no administrative costs, all monies raised are distributed directly back into the community in support of women and their families.

Traverse City Christian School is a private learning community serving the children of families in Northern Michigan, as well as international students from around the world.  From Preschool to 12th Grade, we are committed to providing an excellent education and instilling in our students a genuine desire to love and serve God.  This involves combining a balanced academic, arts and athletics education with Christian study and discipleship, ministry and missions.

Arts for All of Northern Michigan has been providing accessible art and culture opportunities for individuals of ALL abilities in Grand Traverse, Benzie, Kalkaska, Leelanau, and Antrim counties for 21 years. A4A programs include in-classroom artist residencies and workshops; quarterly dances and monthly outings for teens and adults; community cultural accessibility events; the Kid's on the Block educational puppet program; and much more. All programs are designed to not only allow access to arts and culture for individuals with disabilities, but also to promote students’ motivation to finish school and provide opportunities to learn occupational, independence, and interpersonal skills. A4A is continuously working to inspire ALL abilities.

The mission of Michael's Place is to provide support and advocacy for children, teens, and adults grieving the death of a loved one and educate the community on the impact of grief. Michael’s Place is the only bereavement center of its kind in northwest Michigan, serving nearly 2000 annually with no cost programs and services, including outreach to regional schools, workplaces, and the broader community.
