The National Writers Series is hosting a virtual conversation with New York Times bestselling author Terry McMillan at 7 pm, April 9. Please join us and guest host Rochelle Riley via Zoom. The converation will also be live-streamed on the NWS Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Terry McMillan has been charming us with her warmth, humor and powerful female characters for more than 30 years from Stella’s Got Her Groove Back to Waiting to Exhale. Now she’s back with It’s Not All Downhill From Here, a novel filled with an ensemble of McMillan’s strong women. Guest host Rochelle Riley is the director of Arts and Culture for the city of Detroit. She worked at the Detroit Free Press for nearly 25 years, taking a buyout in 2019.
